About Zhi Chao Ng

Zhi Chao Ng is on the Legal Advisory/Corporate pillar of Azrite’s core functions.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Law (LLB (Hons Second Lower) from the National University of Singapore in 2009 and is an Advocate & Solicitor, a member of the Singapore Academy of Law and a Non-Practising member of the Singapore Law Society. 

Ng is an experienced legal professional with both private practice and in-house expertise in project infrastructure development within the energy, marine, construction and logistics industries, corporate and project financing, Engineering-Procurement-Construction (“EPC”), complex transaction risk assessment matrixes, regulatory compliance, procurement, general corporate commercial and corporate secretarial work. 

Ng started his career as a Senior Associate at Dentons, Rodyk & Davidson from 2009 to 2015. He went on as a Corporate Counsel at Caterpillar Financial Services Asia and is currently the Senior Legal Counsel for Vopak Asia Pte. Ltd since May 2019.

His strengths include leadership and stakeholder management (internal & external), with a keen interest in profoundly understanding commercial and business needs in realising strategic business objectives. He is also a versatile negotiator and excellent communicator in building and maintaining internal and external relationships, all while maintaining his role as an independent team player with robust project management and execution skills, analytical and the ability to articulate complex issues into straightforward solutions.

On a professional development level, Ng also underwent high-performance emerging leadership training at Caterpillar and was accredited in professional construction law training by the Singapore Society of Construction Law in 2014.
